Project Description
Vasanta is a multifunctional real estate project located in zone 10 of Guatemala City. The main challenge consisted of managing an excavation with a maximum depth of 37.50 meters measured from street level. Having a project with such a magnitude of excavation depth, the precise coordination of all the collaborators was necessary for the project to be executed efficiently.
Solution
The slope stabilization was executed with anchored walls, soil nailing and a pile wall of 900mm to a maximum depth of 37.50 meters. Due to the magnitude of the project, the work was instrumented from start to finish through the use of inclinometers and load pressure cells. The use of metallic struts allowed the reduction of the dimensions of the berm in front of the pile wall. This made it possible to improve the expected yields, favorably supporting the overall execution of the work.
