Project Description
The Tegucigalpa Government Civic Center project is a Public Building project that will connect 40 government agencies. The building has 24 upper levels and due to the geotechnical conditions of the area; the foundation of the project was made using foundation piles.
Solution
The foundation of the project consisted of piles ranging from 700mm to 1400mm in diameter. Their maximum depth was up to 20 meters. The drilling system used was “Rotary” type; due to the geotechnical conditions of the project and the presence of a water table, it was necessary to use a recoverable temporary casing in the first meters of the drilling..
