Project Description
The location of the project is in the Chiriquí Grande Oil Terminal, in the town of the same name, in the Province of Bocas del Toro, Panama. Since the soil was not competent, Rodio Swissboring provided the advice for soil improvement.
Solution
The project consisted of the improvement of soils for the construction of 5 crude storage tanks through the combined use of draining wicks and gravel columns. These tanks are part of the second phase of expansion of this terminal. For the execution of the works, we had the excellent collaboration of the company BALINEAU; the staff, technical assistance and mechanical support of the VIBROFLOTATION group together with Vibro Services, the RODIO KRONSA Group of Spain, SOLSIF of Morocco and for the instrumentation part the staff of the SOLDATA Group.
